It all started with two premature babies…

In 2001, our twins were born prematurely, and after months in the hospital, we finally brought them home—overjoyed but anxious. As we cared for them, we realized traditional mattresses weren’t meeting their needs. 

Our daughter often woke up lethargic due to overheating caused by a nylon protector. Our son, who needed supervised tummy time due to developmental delays, once struggled to breathe after rolling over into a puddle of mucus. These challenges made it clear—we needed a safer, more breathable mattress. 

And so, the Numu Mattress was born—the truly breathable mattress.
